Fox 16 reports that former North Little Rock Alderman Sam Baggett has been sentenced to 23 months in prison.

In December, Sam Baggett and George Wiley Thompson were tried together on a 13-count federal indictment. In that trial, Baggett and Thompson were found guilty of conspiring with one another to dispose of ammunition to a felon (Thompson). Also, Baggett was convicted of aiding and abetting a felon in possession of a firearm and making a false statement to ATF and FBI agents.
