About those auto bailouts

Chrysler is paying off its government loan early and Mitt Romney's famous call to let Detroit go bankrupt — to cheers of an approving claque of Republicans — suddenly doesn't ring so hot today, does it? Tell it to the GM and Chrysler workers in the U.S. who still have jobs building cars.

Arkansas Republicans all thought these bailouts were terrible things. Savings jobs for Americans and the families they support was, in their sloganeering, "union-rescue packages." Right, Tim?
