Man fatally shot in apartment parking lot

Posted By on Mon, Jun 13, 2011 at 9:36 AM

From the morning police roundups:

* APARTMENT SHOOTING: The Little Rock police say Edward Harris, 24, was fatally shot about 11:50 p.m. Sunday on the parking lot of the Asbury Park Apartments at 8500 Keller Drive, south of Kanis Road near John Barrow Road. He was shot several times, but died during emergency treat at nearby Baptist Medical Center. Witnesses told the police that a man shot Harris in the parking lot by a man who drove away in a white Nissan Frontier. Police later in the day said they were seeking Brandon Irving, 26, as a suspect in the killing.

* HIGHWAY DEATH: The State Police says a white male, about 35, was found dead on the side of the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 at Stanton Road about 12:30 a.m. today. He carried no identification. Troopers are investigating it as a pedestrian hit-and-run.

* THIS ROBBER TAKES THE CAKE: A report filed on a Baskin-Robbins ice cream robbery at 13000 Chenal about 3:45 p.m. Saturday indicates it may have been the work of the same man who's robbed a variety of businesses recently, including while wearing a Spiderman mask and while dressed as a woman. In addition to robbing the ice cream shop, he took the tip jar and an ice cream cake. He left in a black, four-door Saturn or Nissan. He's described as a white male, early to mid 30, 5’10” to 6’, 225 to 250 lbs, wearing a ball cap over brown hair, black shirt, khaki pants and black flip flops. UPDATE: A suspect in the multiple robberies was arrested Monday afternoon thanks to the car description provided.
