Candidate for court of appeals

Posted By on Thu, Jul 7, 2011 at 6:29 AM

It's less than 11 months until judicial elections next May, I realized this morning when I received a news release about the candidacy of Fayetteville lawyer Niki Cung for the state Court of Appeals. (This is for the seat vacated by Courtney Henry's election to the Supreme Court.)

What else is cooking, I wonder, on the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court election front?

UPDATE: I'm told another Fayetteville candidate, Kenneth Hixson, announced last week. The math means a single candidate from Benton County (Tim Hutchinson Jr. is one rumored name) would have a leg up on election.
