A campaign to allow medical use of marijuana in Arkansas is underway and, at first blush, it appears better organized than some previous efforts that didn't reach the ballot

Here's a website for the proposal, which has gained approval as to form from the attorney general. The report is that petition gathering is about to get underway, with 62,000 signatures of registered voters needed to qualify for the 2012 ballot.

The website has information on getting involved and providing money to get the initiative published as the law requires.
