Tim Griffin rolling in money

Posted By on Fri, Jul 15, 2011 at 9:28 AM

U.S. Rep. Tim Griffin is no Vic Snyder. Griffin's predecessor didn't engage in non-stop fund-raising, preferring to wait until election year to begin.

So Griffin is able to boast he raised $330,000 in the second quarter of 2011, putting his 2012 campaign near a half-million total, no debt and a quarter-million on hand. He's well fixed to plead to voters for validation of his support for the Republican plan to wreck Medicare and the federal government and protect millionaires from a fair tax burden.

Griffin's latest report isn't on-line at the FEC yet, but you can peruse his smaller first-quarter haul to get a sense of the corporate PACs and millionaires who are cheering his battle for them with big contributions.
