Rupert Murdoch's ruin of Wall Street Journal

Posted By on Sat, Jul 16, 2011 at 10:40 AM

The Wall Street Journal was once a great newspaper — emphasis on "news," not the right-wing editorial page.

No more. Rupert Murdoch has Foxified it and made its news columns an embarrassment, most recently with shameful coverage of the Murdoch newspaper scandals.

Joe Nocera of the New York Times sums it up nicely and includes an apology for his own earlier prediction that Murdoch wouldn't be so bad as the Journal's owner. The WSJ has even gone to adopting — in news columns — the Republicans' demeaning use of "Democrat" Party. A propaganda outlet like Fox News.
