Woman killed at Waldo postoffice

Posted By on Fri, Jul 22, 2011 at 1:36 PM

I saw a mention of a crime in Waldo this morning and I thought immediately of Mike McNeill's full-service community news and information website, magnoliareporter.com

Sure enough. No need to wait for the afternoon Magnolia newspaper tomorrow morning. Or to pay for it. McNeill is all over the story about a woman apparently killed at the postoffice, then put in a van that was driven into the woods and set fire. A suspect is in custody. Read all about it at the link.

  • Another Republican miracle-working governor

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
