  • PLEA BARGAIN: Muhammad, being led to court last week.

Abdulhakim Muhammad has struck a plea bargain in his trial on a murder charge for a shooting outside a Little Rock military center. The trial was interrupted for negotiations with the defense set to continue its case Monday. He killed one solider and wounded another in 2009. He confessed to the shootings, saying he was retaliating for U.S. involvement in the Middle East.

The prosecution had sought the death penalty. The plea bargain will leave him with a life sentence without parole.
