Floated: Pat Hays v. Tim Griffin for Congress

ON A ROLL: Mayor Hays
Talk Business & Politics floats noise about a congressional candidacy by longtime North Little Rock Mayor Pat Hays against the one-term incumbent congressman, Reactionary Republican Tim Griffin.

Hays has mulled and rejected previous runs for Congress. But he's widely expected not to seek another term his mayor. He has good name ID and a rep as a can-do city leader. He has a surprisingly progressive record on environmental and social issues, which political button man Griffin could undoubtedly cook up into all kinds of Willie Hortonesque-scare ads. So there's that.
