The race is on for north side Senate seat

Posted By on Thu, Sep 8, 2011 at 12:42 PM

Looks like we'll have a contested primary for the state Senate seat currently held by term-limited Mary Anne Salmon of North Little Rock.

Phynaus Wilson, a former aide to U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder, announced Monday. State Rep. Barry Hyde of North Little Rock announced today.

Republican state Rep. Jane English may run for this seat. North Little Rock Mayor Pat Hays also has been mentioned as a potential contender.
