The road to sexual equality

Posted By on Sat, Sep 10, 2011 at 7:00 AM

Speaking of events this coming week:

The Human Rights Campaign's On the Road to Equality bus tour has scheduled a number of stops in Arkansas next week.

The link will take you to a long roster of events Friday-Sunday, Sept. 16-18, in Little Rock, Conway and Eureka Springs.

Activities include a fund-raiser for the Lucille Hamilton Youth Center, the state's first center for LGBT youth. There's also a discussion at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Arkansas Arts Center — "On the Cusp of Equality: Are We at a Tipping Point in the LGBT Movement?" My answer: Not nearly as close as I'd wish, though progress is undeniable.
