Retire the dollar bill for the dollar coin?

Conservative Republicans are stirring up an old battle about replacing the paper dollar bill with a dollar coin, pretty much a flop to date.

I may be with the Tea Party on this one. You don't see one-Euro or one-pound notes in Europe and England, and either currency is worth more than our bedraggled dollar. But old habits die hard. Polls still show most in the U.S. prefer the bill.
