James O'Keefe speaking in LR; sued in federal court

The Koch operation seems to be a key factor in an appearance in Little Rock today by James O'Keefe, the right-wing filmmaker who's produced misleading videos about ACORN and a black public employee and who got arrested for an attempted sting of U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu. And then there was that blown sex-sting he dreamed up for a CNN reporter.

Anyway, loving tweets about his appearance from the Koch operation happened to cross my screen about the same time as a report on an ongoing lawsuit by a former ACORN employee who says he was damaged by O'Keefe's shoddy work.

A federal judge handling a federal lawsuit filed by a former ACORN employee against James O'Keefe has ordered the conservative provocateur and filmmaker to disclose video footage and payments he received from Andrew Breitbart in relation to one of his sting operations.

"The Court believes that it may be relevant that Defendant was paid for the video of Plaintiff," wrote U.S. Magistrate Judge Mitchell D. Dembin. "Such a payment may inform the intent of the Defendant in engaging in the alleged illegal activity and Plaintiff must prove that the actions were intentional."

A quote attributed to O'Keefe by a Koch-head at the luncheon in LR today:

There's a lot of punditry on TV. No real journalism anymore.
