Herman Cain is a Koch proxy

Posted By on Sun, Oct 16, 2011 at 8:45 AM

A warm reception for a coming appearance by Herman Cain in Northwest Arkansas is no surprise given that it is a hotbed of support for the Koch brothers' movement to corporatize U.S. goverment.

Good article here. Cain has been subsidized, promoted and used as a front by the Kochs for years, particularly in his famous 9-9—9 tax plan that will soak the poor and, coincidentally, enrich billionaires like the Kochs who back him. Surprise, a Koch ally helped him draft it. The article's supposition is probably wishful thinking among a primary electorate that thinks burning the middle class to protect millionaires makes good sense:

His links to the Koch brothers could undercut his outsider, non-political image among tea party fans who detest politics as usual and candidates connected with the party machine.
