* WEATHER NEWS: Last time I looked at National Weather Service, it said it reached 88 today in LR/NLR, topping the record of 87, set two centuries ago, 1897.

* CRYSTAL BRIDGES REVEALED: Leslie Peacock's Eye Candy has a rundown on a new book showcasing the American art treasures that will be on display when the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art opens in Bentonville Nov. 11. The book reveals several previously unpublicized works acquired for the museum.

* MONARCHS ON THE MOVE: Anybody got any good photos of the monarch butterfly migration, fluttering through Arkansas this weekend?
