There IS good news about cops.

Little Rock Police Lt. Terry Hastings says Officers Scott Dettmer and Robert Bell and Sgt. Michael Miller joined the Fire Department in rescuing Antione Perkins from a fire Monday at 1606 Commerce Street. We've been promised police cruiser video of explosion of a gas line that knocked Miller back. All three were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene, but Hastings said the three were declining interivews. "They simply say they are doing their job and are glad they were able to rescue Mr. Perkins."

The incident report is here.
