Pulaski school data on stolen laptop

Posted By on Sun, Dec 4, 2011 at 7:20 AM

Pulaski County Special School District employees have received a letter notifying them of a potential breach in security of personal information and given them tips on guarding against problems with identity theft. The issue arises from theft of a personal laptop of a former accounting employee in the district. The data, including names and Social Security numbers of current and former employees, was supposedly securely stored. The letter says police have a name of a potential suspect.

No, the former employee was not supposed to bring the info home, a spokesman said.
