Indiana pushing Right to Work (for less)

Posted By on Tue, Jan 3, 2012 at 6:51 AM

The Republican-controlled Indiana legislature is pushing for speedy adoption of a right to work law there and apparently taking steps to limit free speech expressions of disagreement within the Capitol when it happens.

The New York Times report quotes backers of the law as saying it will improve the job development climate in the state, bring more jobs and factories and increase the per capita income in the state.

To which there is a one-word response: Arkansas.

Right-to-work laws DO depress union membership and THAT is the aim. That and the lower wages that prevail in such states.
