  • NEW APP: Available for Pulaski County assessments.

Pulaski County Assessor Janet Ward is pleased as punch with a tech development of her office.

There's now a free mobile app — currently only for iPhones and iPads — that allows you to assess your property by phone or iPad.

The application is free. It was developed by the office's software provider as part of the existing service contract. Requests are pending for an application for use on Android and other mobile devices.

"We think we're the first assessor to have a full, active app," Ward said.

Find it at the Apple app store by searching for Pulaski County assessor. It's only downloadable if you've upgraded your phone to the 5.0 operating system. I haven't upgraded yet, so, though I can see the installation page for the app, I haven't yet been able to install it and test it. Ward says it's working fine for everyone in her office. Report your experiences if you try it.

May 31 is the annual assessment deadline.

Ward says the app, currently available only from the Apple store, will soon be downloadable from her website.
