Gun toter arrested at Van Buren courthouse

Posted By on Thu, Jan 12, 2012 at 1:11 PM

Deputies arrested a man with a loaded handgun after he entered the Crawford County Courthouse in Van Buren and asked at a security screening checkpoint what he should do with it. Not bring it into the building, apparently. Kenneth Dale Morris, 64, who told deputies he had a permit to carry a concealed weapon, was issued a citation. Security was stepped up at the courthouse after a gunman opened fire there in September.
