Skip Rutherford tweeted last night that Minniejean Brown Trickey, 71, one of the Little Rock Nine, had moved to Canada, where a number of her family members live. Rutherford says, “We’ll miss her.” An amen here. Her personality fills a room.

Her daughter, Spirit, continues as a staff member at the Central High School National Historic Site, which memorializes the historic events in which her mother participated.
