If the economy is getting better, then what?

Republicans are sick about improving economic numbers, the success of the bailouts, the continued viability of major carmakers. (Why do they hate America?)

If the trend continues, and the economy becomes less of a fall political issue, what will the Republicans have to fall back on? (Besides, in the Deep South, a picture of the president's face?)

God, guns and gays. 2004 redux, is what. The culture wars all over again. Limbaugh is pushing it and he pretty well drives the Republican discussion.
