HILL COUNTRY LUNCH: Frito pie and a Big Red.
  • HILL COUNTRY LUNCH: Frito pie and a Big Red.
I'm off the web grid this morning outside Johnson City, Texas with only an iPhone for blogging. Slow going. So I may have to leave you to your own devices today. Noted:

* UNQUALIFIED: Of course the Democratic Party should not certify ex-Globetrotter and convicted former Rep. Fred Smith to the ballot.

* DYNAMIC: In explaining the uneventful close of the legislature yesterday with contentious items hanging, Gov. Mike Beebe said the situation was no longer dynamic. Several people have remarked to me of late that the same could be said of the governor's leadership.

* OVERNIGHT TIP LINE: I'm hearing that ambiguity about JP district lines in Pulaski County might upend plans for at least one contested race in western Pulaski County. Too bad, if true, because the 'bagger in question needs a challenge.
