Bruce Springsteen at the Apollo

Posted By on Sat, Mar 10, 2012 at 7:30 AM

Gee, I wish I'd watched Bruce Springsteen's Sirius-sponsored concert at the Apollo, reviewed this morning in the New York Times.

He included soul tributes — a Smokey Robinson number, "The Way You Do the Things You Do," and the Wilson Pickett hit, "634-5789," written by Eddie Floyd and Steve Cropper (who I was happy to see on stage at the King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena last fall). Glory days, to coin a phrase.
