UPDATE: Body found at Boyle Park

Posted By on Thu, Mar 22, 2012 at 1:10 PM

Last night police discovered a woman's body out of the water at Boyle Park. When police responded to an 8 p.m. call, they found the body wedged under the north side of the bridge. But the quick current pushed the body further beneath the bridge, and authorities haven't been able to locate or retrieve the body. According to Lt. Terry Hastings, the woman has not been identified, and police don't know the circumstances of her death. Earlier today there were cadaver dogs and helicopters assisting, but the search had to be called off until the water goes down.

UPDATE: At 11:05 Friday morning, LRPD Detectives located the body just north of Colonel Glen, near the Rock Creek bridge. No identity or cause of death has been determined yet, but the body is en route to the State Crime Lab.
