Monday blues

Posted By on Mon, May 7, 2012 at 4:31 PM

Slow start for the week. Fire yourself up with the YouTube above, in which a North Carolina pastor cuts to the quick of what Amendment One in his state is about — hate, division and abrogation of equal rights with the bloody shirt of "same sex marriage" as a battle flag. Amendment One seems likely to pass there tomorrow and further restrict rights of all sorts of families, not just those headed by same-sex couples, but not without clarion calls to conscience such as this.

Otherwise, the line is open. Also:

* REDISTRICTING LAWSUIT: Testimony began today in the lawsuit challenging new state Senate districts as discriminatory to blacks.
