Richardson back with Tech Park eminent domain limit

Posted By on Tue, Jun 12, 2012 at 11:32 AM

City Director Kenneth Richardson has filed an ordinance to ban the city from using eminent domain to displace people or spending city sales tax money to displace people for the Little Rock Technology Park.

He'd tried to add the item to an agenda earlier, but the city board refused. He later learned it's city policy for directors to have the right to add items to the agenda whether other directors want to consider it or not. This means there could be an up-or-down vote on his proposal June 19.
