Reports indicate no one was hurt, but a house with a view of Pinnacle Mountain at 6916 West Ridge Drive burned to the foundation late last night.

Channel 11 said the family wasn’t home when the fire broke out. The house is off Highway 300 and it was engulfed when firefighters arrived. People were removed from homes nearby as a precaution until the fire was controlled.

The sheriff’s report on the fire at the Mary Dornhoffer home was discovered when a deputy responded to a burglar alarm triggered by the fire. The family was away at a lake for the day.
