Terry Mohajir, a 1993 Arkansas State University graduate and former football starter, was named ASU's new athletic director today, succeeding Dean Lee. Can he, along with new football coach Gus Malzahn, produce the money and victories necessary to lift the school to Division I respectability? That's the idea anyway.

Mojahir has been associate athletic director at Kansas.

  • Another Republican miracle-working governor

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
