Clerk assaulted in store robbery

The clerk at a Conoco at 10200 Rodney Parham was assaulted during a robbery about 11:20 p.m. last night.

Josh Boykin, 33, said one of two robbers hit him in the face after cleaning out a register because he said he couldn't open a safe. Boykin scuffled with one of the robbers and pulled off one of the robber's skull cap as he ran from the store. Video apparently was made of the robbery.
