Robbers hit Walgreen, Wendy's

Weekend crime summary from the Little Rock Police Department includes a report that a masked gunman interrupted Walgreen employees unloading a truck about 6:30 a.m. Saturday at 3901 W. Markham near UAMS and forced three employees inside. He forced them to open a safe and fled with more than $3,600 in cash.

Also, two gunmen (one wearing a "Hello Kitty" sweatshirt) cleared out registers and a safe at the Wendy's at 11319 N. Rodney Parham Road about 9:30 p.m. Friday night. Two customers and six employees were herded into a cooler during the robbery.
