* ARREST IN FORREST ABRAMS SLAYING: The LRPD says they’ve made an arrest in the May 10 abduction of Forrest Abrams from a convenience store and his slaying. His body was found near 11th and Woodrow. Channel 11 has details.

* SENTENCING IN VOTE BUYING CASE: Another defendant has been sentenced in the vote buying case involving Democratic Rep. Hudson Hallum, who’s since resigned and faces sentencing next month.Today, another defendant, former Wesrt Memphis Councilman Philip Wayne Carter, got home detention — five months — for his role.
