UPDATE: Jacksonville man killed by police

Posted By on Fri, Jun 28, 2013 at 10:47 AM

David Goins at Fox 16 provides the photo by Twitter and a brief report that a Jacksonville man was shot by police on a domestic call on Madden Road. No word yet on his condition. No officer was hurt.

UPDATE: Quoting police, Goins now says the man has died and, as is customary in police shootings, the officer has been relieved of duty while the investigation proceeds.

UPDATE II: Fox 16 reports the dead man is Michael Goodman, 65. Police say they shot him after he came at officers with a knife. Officers had gone to the house because Goodman was reportedly violating a no-contact order with his wife.
