Rex Nelson asks that I plug the coming Political Animals Club meeting at the Governor's Mansion at noon Wednesday, July 17.

The topic will be 2014 Arkansas elections — governor, U.S. Senator, state senator for Saline County, dogcatcher.

A panel to discuss and take questions will include Jay Barth, Roby Brock, John Brummett, Alice Stewart, Jason Tolbert and me.

The program costs $20 at the door, but includes lunch in the Grand Hall. Reservations are required. You can do that here.
