Pine Bluff gambling raids reach Chenal Valley

Posted By on Fri, Aug 23, 2013 at 6:57 AM

A sidelight on Wednesday raids that led to the arrests of 24 people as authorities in Jefferson County cracked down on a string of machine gambling parlors:

The Pine Bluff Commercial reported that a half-million in cash and 600 machines were seized from what was apparently a highly organized and profitable gambling enterprise.

The newspaper listed the 15 locations where search warrants were served — 13 in Pine Bluff, one at a home on Coca Bay Point in Hot Springs and one at a home on Chenal Circle, a premier address in upscale Chenal Valley in western Little Rock.
