Sen. Jason Rapert of Conway/Bigelow presumably won't anger the good Christians of his Senate district with a declaration that he serves God before them. Because, hey, he has a direct pipeline right? From God's lips to Jason's ears. Do what Jason says and you are marching for the Lord.

Salon reports here on remarks by Rapert at an evangelical rally in Ohio.

*  ABORTION RIGHTS SUPPORTERS?

...the men and women who protested Texas’ sweeping new abortion restrictions at the state Capitol are basically demons from hell. “I’ve never had a glimpse of Hell or heard a real demon,” he said, “but I believe that must be what they sound like. It’s spiritual warfare.”

* VOTING: For constituents or who?

“There’s only one vote that matters and that’s when I stand before the Lord at the judgment seat."

* EVIL ORGANIZATIONS? Planned Parenthood.

* TEXAS SEN. WENDY DAVIS:

Wendy Davis is not a superstar. It is not a glamorous thing to talk about killing children.

If I know Bro. Rapert — like Elmer Gantry, Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Bakker — he'll appreciate the pub.
