* LIBERTARIAN CANDIDATE: Bobby Tullis, a former state representative from Mineral Springs, says he'll seek the Libertarian Party nomination to run for state treasurer. He got 32 percent of the vote as a Green candidate for the office in 2010 against incumbent Democrat Martha Shoffner, who's since resigned. A couple of Republicans, Dennis Milligan and Duncan Baird, have declared for the race.

  • Stearns
* HOMICIDE ARREST: The Pulaski sheriff's office arrest Melissa Stearns, 33, on a first-degree murder charge for fatally stabbing Herschel Johnson, 63, at 15500 Minton Road, off Lawson Road in western Little Rock.
