USA Today reports
that Walmart is recalling 174,000 My Sweet Love/My Sweet Baby Cuddle Care Baby Dolls, sold exclusively at Walmart, because of an overheating problem with the dolls. The electronic dolls get “sick,” but apparently sometimes when the dolls cough and get reddened cheeks, the circuit board gets too hot and can cause burns or blisters to the children playing with them. Ouch. Walmart has received 12 reports regarding problems with the baby dolls.

Walmart advises families that currently own one of the dolls to remove the batteries and return them to the store for a refund.
