Oklahoma girl sells diamond found in Crater of Diamonds State Park for $20,000

Posted By on Fri, Apr 11, 2014 at 8:27 AM

Tana Clymer of Oklahoma City, 14, has sold a 3.85-carat yellow diamond she found at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro last October. The price tag: $20,000.

When she first found the diamond, which she named "God's Jewel," she asked her father if she was dreaming. She told an Oklahoma television station that she plans to use the money to pay for college.

My wife, who has been wanting to go diamond-hunting ever since we moved to Arkansas, is now convinced she's bound to score.

But however folks found out, they turned out in huge numbers, more than thousand men, women and children, on the grounds of the state Capitol to listen to speakers from all faiths and many countries.
