The open line: Bill Clinton coming to town for Mike Ross

The midweek line is open for reader comments. Be careful out there. Little Rock has recorded 11 homicides in April, with seven hours to go. Also:

* BIG MONEY: Bill Clinton might or might not be able to get votes for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mike Ross in 2014. He'll need all the help he can get. Polls show him, for now, at best in a tie with likely Republican nominee Asa Hutchinson and trailing by 8 in a recent poll. But Bill Clinton can raise money for Mike Ross, who once was a driver in an early Clinton campaign. He'll be doing that Saturday night at the Marriott Hotel in Little Rock.
