Gay marriage ruling by May 9, judge says

AP checked in with Circuit Judge Chris Piazza's office today and learned that he planned a ruling by May 9 on the lawsuit challenging the state ban on same-sex marriages (and the ban on  extension of privileges that accrue to people who are legally married, which is the nut of the equal protection argument.) Whatever Piazza rules, a federal lawsuit still pends.
