LR's Fitness Center in War Memorial Park reopens Friday

Posted By on Thu, May 1, 2014 at 9:35 AM

The city's Jim Dailey Fitness Center in War Memorial Park, closed since an electrical fire April 21, will partially reopen at noon Friday.

The aquatics area, center of the fire, will remain closed for repairs. But the outdoor pool will open Friday for aquatics classes and lap swimming. The gym, fitness and aerobic areas will be open.

I was incorrect Wednesday moring when I wrote about going to the gym. I got there and found it closed, though one of the regular fitness instructors was putting a client through medicine ball paces outdoors by the parking lot. I went back to bed instead.
