Huffington Post reports that Arkansas is among the states receiving benefits from the Ready for Hillary PAC, which is laying groundwork for a Hillary Clinton presidential candidacy.

As a hybrid PAC, it can contribute to federal candidates while also raising and spending unlimited amounts like a Super PAC, so long as it isn't coordinating with a campaign.

Ready for Hillary has passed out $175,000 to 27 state Democratic Parties, including Arkansas's, and six national organizations.

"Making these direct financial contributions allows Ready for Hillary to further our mission by boosting grassroots efforts across the country to elect Democrats in 2014 and beyond," a Ready for Hillary official said in an email. "This is our initial set of contributions, and we will provide additional financial support in the coming months while continuing to channel the enthusiasm of our more than two million grassroots supporters to help Democrats come out on top this Fall."

It's a small sum, but everything helps. Get out the vote efforts that produced a good 2014 turnout for legislative candidates, Mike Ross and Mark Pryor would pay dividends in 2016 should the efforts elect some Democrats here. Lot of ifs in that statement, of course.
