Conway approves tax rededication for bond issue

Posted By on Tue, Sep 9, 2014 at 8:05 PM

Early voting in Conway is overwhelmingly in favor (4-1) of rededication of a sales tax to, among others, support a bond issue to pay for millions in road improvements required by the developer of a proposed shopping center and other projects on the old Conway airport. Chamber of Commerce did a good job selling voters on corporate welfare as trickle-down.

UPDATE: it's done. The proposal approved — 78%-22%.
