Mike Ross and Asa Hutchinson to debate in Jonesboro on October 20

Posted By on Fri, Sep 26, 2014 at 4:54 PM

The Northeast Arkansas Political Animals Club and others will sponsor a debate between gubernatorial candidates Mike Ross and Asa Hutchinson in Jonesboro on October 20, Talk Business reports. The debate will air live on KAIT’s 8.2 digital channel and stream online at KAIT8.com. It should be riveting. Kidding!

The two are also set for an hour-long debate in Little Rock on Tuesday, October 7, which will air live on KATV Channel 7.

Basically, Ross and Hutchinson are sad that Mark Pryor and Tom Cotton are having so much trouble agreeing to debates, so they're overcompensating.

It was not even 24 hours ago that Sophia Said, director of the Interfaith Center; City Director Kathy Webb and others decided to organize a protest today of Donald Trump's executive order that has left people from Muslim countries languishing in airports or unable to come to the US at all — people with visas, green cards,a  post-doc graduate student en route to Harvard, Google employees abroad, families. I got the message today before noon; others didn't find out until it was going on. But however folks found out, they turned out in huge numbers, more than thousand men, women and children, on the grounds of the state Capitol to listen to speakers from all faiths and many countries.
