Taking no chances in Sharp County

Posted By on Mon, Oct 6, 2014 at 8:28 PM

Major news outlets, from ABC to The Guardian in Great Britain, are reporting that the Defense Department donated an assault rifle, handgun and a Humvee to Doug Wortham of Sharp County even though, as the Associated Press wittily reported, "the people in his custody are in no condition to put up a fight. They're dead."

"I just wanted to protect myself," Wortham explained. Plus he needs the Humvee to get around Sharp County. Read the story as reported by ABC here.

The new street would serve as relief from traffic to and from the interstate, to be concentrated at Fourth Street.
