  • ANOTHER HOME: John Brummett, shown here in his early columnizing days at the Araknsas Gazette, has added Talk Business to his outlets.
Arkansas Democrat-Gazette columnist John Brummett is adding a new media hat to his wardrobe.

He's got a new contract with the D-G that allows media work outside his four-times-a-week Arkansas Democrat-Gazette column. It will allow him to do work for Roby Brock and Talk Business — long-form articles for his quarterly magazine and periodic interviews with newsmakers on the Talk Business show.

Brummett struck an independent contract deal with the Democrat-Gazette in 2011 after Stephens Media began paring back its Little Rock bureau, where he'd been working as a columnist. That followed stints at, well, just about everywhere, including the Arkansas Times.
