The Little Rock police said a 39-year-old homeless man, Marcus Tidwell, was fatally injured shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday in an assault by another homeless man in the 1000 block of West Markham Street, near Chester Street. Eric Green, 45, was charged with first-degree murder. Officers who responded to the call found Tidwell lying on the ground covered in blood. He was pronounced dead at University Hospital. Other men at the scene identified Green as a suspect.
