But what about political jingles? Garcia tries one against 'Dennis the Menace'

Posted By on Mon, Oct 20, 2014 at 7:21 AM

The late Jerry Russell swore by radio jingles in political races. My kids still hum "Judge Robin Mays, for chancery judge."

You don't hear them much. But Democratic consultant Michael Cook has rolled one out this year for Karen Sealy Garcia, the party's nominee for state treasurer. Money is limited in these races. Some catchy radio might be a way to break through the avalanche. Or not. Check it out. It's a two-fer: Branding Republican opponent as Dennis "The Menace" Milligan and closing with a Garcia jingle.
